Lived Experience

My intersections as a bi-cultural, Taiwanese, first-generation immigrant woman give me insight into how cultural factors influence personal, relational, intergenerational, and systemic aspects of the human experience. These identities and my lived experience equip me to work with an intersectional lens and help develop a deep understanding towards clients.

As someone who continues to navigate and heal through interpersonal, familial relationships and intergenerational trauma, especially within the context of transitioning between cultures, I understand the challenges and pain my clients may be experiencing. I see you and would like to invite you to reach out and see how I can best support you on your journey.

As a visual artist, I believe in the magic of art

By opening up creatively, instinctively, and authentically through exploration and play, we are able to connect to our true selves and the unconscious realm of your being. Art has provided me an avenue to gain a deeper sense of self-awareness in my ongoing healing journey and I hope to walk alongside yours.

My style is relaxed, warm, and conversational

This allows clients to feel comfortable and respected. I have always enjoyed making deep connections with others and believe it is the foundation of any relationship, especially in a therapeutic setting. I also strive towards justice, inclusiveness, and community building while being kind and compassionate towards myself and others. I engage in ongoing learning and constant self-reflection in my personal and professional life.

I incorporate a variety of approaches such as IFS parts work, inner child work, mindfulness techniques, and somatic work in my practice to see what support your needs.

I have completed a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from Concordia University and am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#15043). I am also a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (#70249569).
