Lived Experience
I grew up in China and moved to Canada as a teenager. As a first-generation immigrant and neurodivergent individual, I understand the challenges of adjusting to a new culture and managing multiple identities and expectations. These experiences shape my compassionate approach to therapy, especially in supporting those navigating transitions, cultural identity, and emotional complexities. I bring a deep understanding of these challenges and aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space for you.
Personal Journey on Healing and Growth
Having faced my own mental health struggles, I understand the pain and confusion that often accompanies these experiences. I believe in healing through self-compassion and finding strategies and beliefs that works well for further self-growth, and I strive to offer a safe and empathetic environment for clients to explore their own journeys. Your growth and well-being matter, and I am here to support you with both understanding and practical tools.
My style is empathetic, collaborative, and client-centered
I aim to create a comfortable and respectful space where you can feel heard and understood. I believe in building strong connections with clients and respect the unique challenges you may be facing. I am committed to ongoing learning and strive to be compassionate toward both my clients and myself throughout our work together.
I incorporate a variety of of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also integrate grounding techniques and solution-focused strategies to help you develop coping skills and build resilience. My goal is to help you build up your personalized strategy toolbox to manage anxiety, stress, and life’s challenges.
